Can you bring dogs on board the Aquabus?
Yes! Dogs are not just allowed, they are encouraged! We simply ask that all furry friends are clean and on a leash.
Are your boats wheelchair accessible?
Yes! Over half of our fleet is wheelchair accessible. You can tell which of our boats are accessible by looking for the wheelchair symbol on the front of the boat. If you are unsure of the accessibility of the vessel, just ask! Wheelchair accessible boats can also accommodate bicycles and strollers.
Which docks are accessible?
All of our docks are wheelchair accessible except for Spyglass and Plaza of Nations, which have some steps leading up to the dock. Please note that at extremely low tide, the ramps at our Stamps Landing and Hornby Street docks can become very steep and therefore inaccessible. Please give us a call at 604-689-5858 if you are unsure which docks are accessible.
Can I bring my bike?
Yes! Over half our fleet is able to accommodate bikes. The bike-friendly boats are our platform boats. There is a 50 cent bike fee charge in addition to the riders fare.
Can I bring I stroller on board?
Yes! If your stroller can fold you can bring them on board any of our boats. If it cannot fold you can bring it on board our platform boats. Over half our fleet is wheelchair, bike and stroller accessible.
What if I can’t find the dock?
Please give us a call in the office at 604-689-5858! We are seasoned veterans at guiding people to our docks; no matter how lost you feel, we can help!
Is there parking nearby any of your docks?
There are a lot of paid parking spots in close proximity to our dock on Granville Island. Otherwise, there are paid parking lots next to our Olympic Village dock (1455 & 1500 Quebec Street), our Plaza of Nations dock (50 Pacific Blvd), and our Hornby Street dock (1380 Burrard Street).
Can I reserve a boat for a private trip?
Yes! We accept private bookings for groups of 12 passengers or more; in fact, if you are travelling with a large group you are encouraged to make a private booking so that you do not have to wait for a boat. We are able to offer large groups a private boat, a guaranteed time slot, and a discounted group rate. Please email our office ([email protected]) for more information or to make a reservation. *This service is not offered during peak season on weekends (Friday – Sunday)*
What are your operating hours?
Currently our hours of operation are from 7:00 am until 8:00 pm. Please note that some routes close earlier than others. Check the page for each dock to find out what time they close!
Do your ferries operate during the winter?
Yes! Our ferries operate every day of the year except for December 25th. We operate with reduced hours on December 24th, December 26th, and January 1st.
Do you accept credit or debit cards on board?
Yes! We accept credit, debit, and cash on board all of our vessels.
Are there any credit cards you don’t accept?
Unfortunately, our card machines are not compatible with Discovery credit cards, but we accept all other cards.
What age do you have to be to receive the concession fare?
Seniors ages 65 and above qualify for the concession fare, as do children from ages 4-12. Infants 3 years old and younger are free.
What is your policy on support workers and individuals with disabilities?
Support workers who are travelling with individuals with disabilities can ride the ferries for free. This free fare is granted on a one-to-one ratio (one support worker per individual). Individuals with disabilities pay the concession fare.
