  Built as the athletes' village for the 2010 Winter Games and since transformed into a mixed-use waterfront community, Olympic Village combines Science World, Creekside Park, public art, playgrounds, waterfront patios and local breweries. Aquabus arrives at The Village, with Main Street–Science World Station and Pacific Central Station nearby.

• What should I see in Chinatown and Crosstown?

  Combine events at BC Place and Rogers Arena with historic Chinatown's Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden, Chinese Canadian Museum, Chinatown Storytelling Centre and local restaurants. Chinatown grew with Vancouver's early Chinese community and is now recognized as a National Historic Site; International Village and Gastown are also nearby. Aquabus arrives at Plaza of Nations.

  Built on reclaimed False Creek mudflats for industry and transformed in the 1970s into one of Vancouver's best-known public destinations, Granville Island combines the Public Market, Kids Market, artisan studios, galleries, theatres, breweries, restaurants and festivals. Aquabus lands beside the Public Market at Granville Island; check granvilleisland.com for current events, then continue west along the seawall toward Kitsilano.

• What is Yaletown known for?

  Yaletown grew from Vancouver's railway and warehouse district into a neighbourhood of heritage buildings, restaurants, patios, boutiques and nightlife. Visit the Roundhouse and Engine 374 — the locomotive that pulled the first transcontinental passenger train into Vancouver in 1887 — then walk the seawall toward David Lam Park. Aquabus serves the neighbourhood from both Yaletown and David Lam Park.

• What can I explore from Hornby Street?

  Hornby Street is Aquabus's central downtown stop. Walk to Robson Street, the Vancouver Art Gallery and the Granville entertainment district, or continue to Sunset Beach, English Bay and Stanley Park along the waterfront.

• What is there to explore in South False Creek and Fairview?

  The quieter side of False Creek: waterfront patios, Charleson Park, skyline views and long seawall walks. Use Stamps Landing for the waterfront dining area, or Spyglass Place for Olympic Village Station and onward access to Cambie Street, Fairview and Mount Pleasant.

• Can I reach Kitsilano and Kits Beach by Aquabus?

  Yes — take Aquabus to Granville Island (Dock 2), our closest stop for visitors continuing into Kitsilano. From the dock, follow the seawall west; Kits Beach is a 20–30 minute walk. Aquabus does not stop at the Maritime Museum dock.

• How do I get to Granville Island from downtown?

  Board at Hornby Street (Dock 1) — the crossing to Granville Island (Dock 2) takes just minutes, with ferries every 5–15 minutes. You arrive beside the Public Market.

• What is a good one-day Aquabus itinerary?

  Start at Hornby Street, spend the morning on Granville Island, stop in Yaletown for lunch, then continue to Science World and Olympic Village. Planning three or more stops? A Day Pass gives unlimited travel for one calendar day.

• Do I need an app or reservation to ride Aquabus?

  No — pay on board with credit, debit or cash, or buy a mobile ticket or pass. Ferries run every 5–15 minutes depending on the dock; check the dock page before travelling.
